NOTD: Napoleon Perdis Marchesa Black Sapphire Matte Nail Polish

Have you heard of Luisa, Marquise Casati Stampa di Soncino
No?
Well maybe you know her better by her title: Marchesa!
Marchesa was a dandy style icon of the of the Early 20th Century who decorated herself with animals and rimmed eyeliner, really the Gothic predecessor!
In 2009 Napoleon Perdis decided to give this style icon a perfectly matching nail polish for the Queen of style: A matte black nail polish!

Let's face it, matte nail polish was becoming all the rage a few years ago. This edition came about just a little late in the game but still making new cosmetics accessible in Australia. At the same time their Boudoir Mist Foundation came out quite before that trend came out!

At around $10 it wasn't a bad buy.
I actually went to their counter a day or two before the release!
I told one of the ladies that I wasn't likely to be able to come and buy it when it officially came out.
With the nicest customer service the serving woman called up her boss and was able to let me buy it before it came out!
How lucky was I!

Love Porcelaine.
